The core idea
A practice plan should fit your available time and focus on one outcome. Start from the workshop’s actual material rather than trying to study the entire field in a week. Alternate explanation, implementation and reflection so you can identify where understanding breaks down.
A practical approach
Step 1
Choose one deliverable and gather the relevant notes, links and exercises. Write what ‘finished’ will look like.
Step 2
Divide the work into short sessions with visible outputs: a brief, a first version, a test and a revision.
Step 3
End with a demonstration and a reflection on one remaining gap. Use that gap to choose the next learning step.
Worked example
After an AI workflow session, a participant can spend the week creating an enquiry-classification prototype with synthetic messages, a small evaluation set and a reviewable output. This is more concrete than a plan to ‘master AI’ in seven days.
A mistake to avoid
A schedule filled entirely with videos can postpone actual practice. Reserve time for building and checking, and reduce scope if the plan does not fit your real availability.
Try it yourself
Create a seven-day plan with one task per day and a final artifact. Make at least three tasks produce something you can inspect rather than only consume.
Your implementation checklist
- The deliverable is bounded.
- The plan uses actual workshop material.
- Practice and review have dedicated time.
- The next step follows from an observed gap.
